Mission

The mission of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame is to present, recognize and honor outstanding women in the community for their service and contributions through induction into the organization; and to provide funding to support higher education attainment for deserving local women pursuing a college education, and to promote their individual development in order to improve their status, interests, and needs of our community.

President’s Message

Welcome to the 2024-25 SAWHOF year. As we begin the year the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and I want to place our emphasis on the Mission of this organization. We look forward to a year in which we build upon the 40 year legacy of the organization and engage the membership in various opportunities.

Thank you to the members who attended the SAWHOF Annual Membership Meeting on June 15th and elected the officers and Directors at Large who will serve the organization during 2024-25. The elected members are listed in the next column. The Hon. Yolanda Huff was the guest speaker. Thank you to 2023-24 2nd VP, Herlinda Sifuentes, and her committee who planned the meeting and greeted the members.

We continue to celebrate the organization’s 40th year anniversary. The toast presented at the annual meeting is available here. As the year continues we will celebrate the accomplishments of this organization in many ways. Pictures from the meeting can be viewed and downloaded.

Please feel free to reach out to me with information regarding your awards, recognition and accomplishments as well as those of other SAWHOF members. After all, we are greater and stronger when we join together to “recognize and honor outstanding women in the community for their service and contributions.” My email is doris.slaybarber@gmail.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Doris
