Mission
The mission of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame is to present, recognize and honor outstanding women in the community for their service and contributions through induction into the organization; and to provide funding to support higher education attainment for deserving local women pursuing a college education, and to promote their individual development in order to improve their status, interests, and needs of our community.
Fall 2024 Member Event
SAWHOF members gathered for the first Membership Event on Wednesday, September 25th. Lorena “Lorraine” Pulido PhD, Brooks Development Authority Chairwoman and SAWHOF member welcomed everyone. Joining Dr. Pulido was SAWHOF member and Brooks Development Authority board member, Pat Jasso. SAWHOF members were treated to delicious appetizers and a tour of the WatersEdge building and office space.
Attending members networked and learned about upcoming SAWHOF activities. Several opportunities presented themselves so that SAWHOF members were able to provide references or resources for other members’ projects or community service. This is the goal of such Member Event gatherings – to provide the opportunity for members to reconnect and provide support for each other.
We are planning another Member Event during the Spring of 2025 – Watch for future details in the newsletter.
