Dr. Norma Greenfield Laborde has dedicated over 39 years to the field of criminal justice and currently serves as the Bexar County Director of Criminal Justice. A native of San Antonio, she has broken barriers as the first Hispanic woman promoted to senior management positions within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Dr. Laborde is widely respected for her leadership in streamlining operations and fostering collaboration among judicial and public safety stakeholders. Throughout her career, she has been a committed mentor, empowering countless women and inspiring future leaders in a field historically dominated by men.

Her service extends beyond the justice system into the community. Dr. Laborde has volunteered with ACTS retreats and Ministries of the Third Cross, providing support and healing to women in need. She is also the co-founder of Co-Creating Harmony and Mobilizing Peacemakers (CCHaMPs), where she facilitates spiritual workshops focused on peace, purpose, and personal growth.

A distinguished graduate of the FBI and DEA Citizens Academies, Dr. Laborde continues her commitment to leadership and excellence through Texas Business Women, where she currently serves as President.

Dr. Laborde is recognized for her groundbreaking achievements, unwavering dedication to service, and lasting impact on the criminal justice system and her community.
