Bernadette Peña is an artist, culturalist, and creative entrepreneur whose work centers on visual storytelling, cultural identity, and community empowerment. Through her art and educational programming, Peña captures the essence of people, place, and shared histories, creating spaces where culture is both celebrated and preserved.

She is the Owner and Creative Director of Miella Media, a creative studio dedicated to promoting cultural literacy through innovative media and arts initiatives. Miella Media’s signature projects include Nuestra Gente: A Tribute to Hispanic Innovators and Dreamers™, Brava: A Celebration of Women™, the cultural arts festival Vivan Los Niños™, and the youth-focused cultural arts education program Nuestra Gente: Mi Futuro™. Peña also serves as a project partner for the ASAP2Teach Bilingual Education Program.

Peña’s artwork and installations have been exhibited throughout San Antonio with permanent works located at Texas A&M University–San Antonio, Edgewood Independent School District, and STAAMP Allergy Medical Center.

An active civic leader, Peña serves on multiple boards and has been recognized with honors including the Estrella de Tejas Award from the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas. Through her work, Peña uplifts communities, inviting each person to embrace and celebrate their story, affirming that every voice carries the power to restore, unite, and ignite change.
