Dr. Nichole J. Van de Putte is a leader in women’s health, dedicated to improving access and care for underserved populations.

A San Antonio native, she earned a BA in Music Therapy from Loyola University New Orleans and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center and is a Board-Certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

At CommuniCare, she expanded the women’s health program from three to thirteen clinics in six years.

She developed a high-risk prenatal program with the University of Incarnate Word, serving over 1,000 women annually, and expanded care for women with disabilities at Morgan’s Wonderland Multi-Assistance Center.

Additionally, she launched a health literacy program for Afghan refugee families, supporting 70 families over 18 months.

Dr. Van de Putte leads maternal health policy in Texas, serving on various committees, including the Texas Medical Association’s Women’s & Perinatal Health Committee.

She is also Maternal Health Director at Metropolitan Hospital and will be Chief of Staff in 2026.

Nicole cherishes 20 years of marriage to Jason Stiles and their children: Julian, Jove, and Marlo.
