Dr. Cheryl E. Davis was born in Moscow, Idaho, to William C. and Ocia J. Davis. 

A graduate of Judson High School, she earned a B.A. degree from Our Lady of the Lake University, a M.A. degree from Prairie View A&M University, and a M.D. in Dentistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Davis served five years in the USAF Dental Corps before working as an associate dentist at an Eastside clinic and providing care at the Bexar County Jail. She founded and serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Cheryl E. Davis Family Dentistry at the historic Ellis Alley Enclave, a significant African American business district.

An active community leader, Dr. Davis serves on several boards, including the Ryan Advisory Board, the Practice-Based Research Network at UT Health San Antonio, the Harry Jersig Speech and Hearing Advisory Board, and the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic.

She advocates for improved oral health care for the immunocompromised, homeless, veterans, and formerly incarcerated individuals, partnering with organizations like Catholic Worker House and Arms of Hope.
