
Teresa Ann Silva, Ph.D.

Dr. Teresa A. Silva, with over 26 years in public education, serves as Senior Director of Teaching and Learning in the Edgewood Independent School District.
A native of San Antonio, she began her journey at Luther Burbank High School and later earned degrees from St. Mary’s University and UTSA.
Drawing inspiration from family values, she emphasizes instructional excellence, positive school culture, and community engagement, leading initiatives such as the Accelerating Campus Excellence design at Alonso S. Perales Elementary.
Committed to educational equity, she supports leaders in shifting instructional practices and lectures at the Urban School Leaders Collaborative at UTSA.
Dr. Silva continues to contribute significantly to education, credited by her support network, including her husband John and their four children—Jude, Jonathan, Gabriella, and Liliana.
