
Judge Yolanda Huff

Judge Huff presides over County Court 12 and the Mental Health Court after practicing as a solo practitioner in Bexar County for 22 years.
A devoted mother of three, Judge Huff actively engages in philanthropy, contributing both her time and money to various organizations.
Her commitment to community service is evident through her leadership roles, including serving as president of the San Antonio Black Lawyers Association twice and more than twelve years on the advisory board for the Dispute Resolution Center.
Since taking the bench in 2019, she has been involved in prominent organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Texas Association of Specialty Courts.
One of her significant achievements is founding the Bexar County Specialty Courts Coalition, aiming to educate the community about specialty courts.
Her contributions earned her the “Pioneer Woman Award” by the Bexar County Small Business & Entrepreneurship Department.
Judge Huff is deeply engaged in addressing mental health issues within the judicial system, leading to her service on the Texas Judicial Commission on Mental Health established by the Supreme Court of Texas and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
Her dedication to justice is further acknowledged with the Distinguished Jurist Award by the State Bar of Texas and the Judicial Outstanding Specialty Court Award.
Additionally, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority honored Judge Huff with the Peace and Justice award.
