A group of accomplished women poses in front of the "San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame" logo, celebrating their achievements.

Mission

The mission of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame is to present, recognize and honor outstanding women in the community for their service and contributions through induction into the organization; and to provide funding to support higher education attainment for deserving local women pursuing a college education, and to promote their individual development in order to improve their status, interests, and needs of our community.

I hope that your holiday season is filled with family, friends, and the joy of the season!

Thank you to the members who joined us for the SAWHOF Holiday Celebration on December 5th in order to welcome the 2025 Inductees. The group picture above highlights the 10 inductees who joined us for the Holiday Celebration.

The 2025 Induction Ceremony and Gala is planned for March 1, 2025.

Sixty-five members and guests welcomed the 2025 inductees. First vice-president, Glenda Raichlen, provided a brief introduction of each future inductee.

Second vice president, Adrienne Cox, and her committee (Sylvia Rodriguez, Glenda Raichlen, and Wendy Martinson) decorated the Alamo Colleges District Board Room to bring the holiday-spirit inside as members greeted the inductees and made them feel as special as each of us felt when we were introduced to the SAWHOF membership. If you were unable to attend, we missed you and look forward to seeing you at the March 1, 2025 Induction Ceremony and Gala. See more details below.

As the year 2024 comes to an end I hope that you take time to recall the many volunteer hours you have provided to San Antonio and the surrounding area as you continue to live the Mission of SAWHOF.

I look forward to working with each of you during the year ahead.

May the year 2025 be your best year yet filled with happiness and health!

Silent Auction Committee

Silent Auction Committee Co-Chairs Rachel Sakai and Herlinda Sifuentes and their committee are asking SAWHOF members to begin collecting donations for the Silent Auction. While you are out shopping perhaps pick out an extra item or two to donate. Asking your service providers (hairstylist, auto mechanic, etc) and friends if they too would like to donate items for the auction. Are you low on ideas after all the holiday shopping? No worries! Rachel and Herlinda have even provided a “brainstorm list” to help with ideas. Click here to download the list.

Here’s a letter to provide to anyone you are asking to make a donation. Click here to download the letter.

There’s also a donation form to be completed for items being donated. Click here to download a “fillable” donation form. Just save it to your computer, fill in the information, save the document with a different name, print, and attach that document to the donated item.
