Judge Linda Harrison Lewis began her judicial career in May 2004 as a part-time Municipal Court Judge and Magistrate for San Antonio while maintaining a private law practice.

In 2007, she became one of the first African-American women to hold a full-time appointment and retired in 2022 after 18 years of service.

Judge Lewis was raised in San Antonio and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

She worked as a registered nurse and owned the Conley Law Office, handling various legal areas, including family law and child abuse cases. She also volunteered pro bono in the Community Justice Program.

Judge Lewis is deeply involved in community service, mentoring, and volunteering for initiatives like Homeless Night Out and the MLK Jr. Commission.

She is a Silver Life member of the NAACP and a forty-seven-year active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Married to Larry Lewis and the mother of Dr. Kimberly Haynes Reese, DDS, and Mr. Jason Haynes.
