Mission

The mission of the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame is to present, recognize and honor outstanding women in the community for their service and contributions through induction into the organization; and to provide funding to support higher education attainment for deserving local women pursuing a college education, and to promote their individual development in order to improve their status, interests, and needs of our community.

Happy Women’s History Month!

Our organization was founded in 1984 and that year inducted fifty-one women into the Hall of Fame. Join us on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 9 AM at the SA City Council chambers as SAWHOF is recognized for its 40th Anniversary! We want to fill the chamber with SAWHOF members because you represent the women of the community who have and continue to make a difference in the community while mentoring and enriching the lives of the students and graduates of the Young Women’s Leadership Academy. As members of SAWHOF you are creating and adding to the History of San Antonio!

I hope you can join us for this special recognition and celebration!
